Who was Charlie Selman?
Charles H. Selman was born in Arkansas and relocated to Alaska in 1959. He became known for his exploits and expertise in the Alaska oil industry as he was one of the prime movers behind the discovery of development of oil at Prudhoe Bay. After his career in oil, he became the second owner of the popular Anchorage downtown restaurant, Club Paris, in 1976. Then in 1979 purchased The Double Musky Inn. Shortly thereafter Selman joined CHARR and helped shape the laws and regulations involving the liquor and hospitality industries in Alaska.

In order to apply you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
1. Applicant must be an Alaska Resident 2. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university, certificate program, or post-secondary vocational school 3. Applicant must be pursuing a career in the Alaska hospitality industry |
